Cutting edge development can be seen with the hardware of the device as well.

On the other hand, HTC One M9 does not stand a chance in terms of the cover. However, they have been leading in the market on the basis of their craftsmanship. Samsung Galaxy has been catching up with the HTC One M9 gradually.

Design

Through the design, Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge has come a long way. It has been liked by most of the people. However, there is a gap with the HTC One M9. Refined features can be seen with the launch of every new device from Samsung Galaxy S series. Revolution can be seen with the design of this smart phone as well. Instead of plastic chassis, metal frames can be seen in the Samsung Galaxy S6. Curvy display comes with the technology of Corning glass. Additional nano layers can be observed within the device as well. Unique and attractive display has been created in this manner.

In spite of the efforts from the creators of the Samsung Galaxy S6, it has not managed to surpass stylish and sleek design of HTC One M9. However, there is no innovation in this device HTC One M9.

Functionality

While HTC One M9 looks fancier than Samsung, incredible improvement can be seen in S6 Edge due to presence of TouchWiz layout in addition to smooth functionality.

In case of hardware, Samsung has always produced the best in the market. However, customers are still looking more from the device. Swift functionality can be achieved with the layout of TouchWiz. However, it is not possible to have a rivalry with the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge on the issues of additional features. Preference can be made on the basis of these features quite naturally.

Nowadays, most of the cell phone users sue cell phone cases to give extra protection to their phones from scratches, accidents and especially dropping down by chance. These cell phone cases are not for fancy. The drop test is actually an engineering science project which will test the strength of a calculator and detect its vulnerable areas. Then by using those test results the durability of that calculator will be increased according to its performance in the drop test. But what if you use your cell phone in pace of the calculator!!! Obviously the mobile phones don’t have that strength as the calculators have. Moreover, it is a dreadful feeling when you think of dropping your favorite phone and then break screen. Here is the drop test performance of your long cherished Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge.

More than 3 billion screens used in several devices are being protected by Corning GLW -1.9% Gorilla Glass and now it is being used in the fourth generation. The use of Corning Gorilla Glass 4 has increased the performance for the drop test and it provides a much higher resistance for scratch compared to the earlier versions. The latest versions of the Samsung’s flagship devices- the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge have used a metal frame and the Corning Gorilla Glass 4 is wrapped in their front and back side which will give protection to these devices from some high drops.

In the drop test demonstration of the Samsung galaxy S6 Edge to check the strength of the phone, it has been seen through some videos that the cell phone is being slammed against the ground a couple of times. Surprisingly, after the banging, the S6 Edge appears to remain in the perfect condition. Based on the result of the drop test of the phone, it seems that the users of S6 Edge don’t need to buy any extra case for the phone as the phone’s screen is strong enough to give protection properly.

2. Samsung Galaxy A7
3. Samsung Galaxy A5
4. Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime
5. Samsung Galaxy S5
6. Asus Zenfone 5
7. HTC One M9
8. Apple iPhone 6
9. Samsung Galaxy E7
10. Motorola Moto E (2015 Edition)

This list is dominated by Samsung, the worlds largest smart phone maker.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 is not the next big thing. It’s “project zero”. The reboot. But was there really anything wrong with the S-line – the standard-setter, the home of the super droids? OK, design needed looking at for sure. But hey, other brands do facelifts – Samsung goes for a complete overhaul.

This must’ve been the message they wanted to send.

And if it means giving up the memory card slot, the removable battery and the waterproofing, so be it. That’s part of the message too.

Anyway, the Galaxy S6 was redone from scratch and bids farewell to plastic. Glass and metal is a critically acclaimed combination. Another way of saying it is – depending on how upset you are with the missing card slot and sealed battery – they’re copying Apple and Sony. Alright, memory, battery and waterproofing are easy things to get upset about, so let’s see what the Samsung Galaxy S6 offers in exchange.

The new look is impressive and exciting and Samsung’s trademark AMOLED is the perfect match. It’s an immersive 5.1 incher of QHD resolution, for the amazing 577ppi – though “amazing” doesn’t work for Samsung. They’ll call it “the best ever” – and will be right. And that’s just the beginning.

Despite a noticeable absence from Apple (who prefer to stage their own media frenzies when debuting new product), all of the major smartphone and gadget manufacturers were there, including products from Samsung, Microsoft, LG, Alcatel, Lenovo and Xioami. The array of new products has been astounding, and has included dozens of jawdropping handsets, tablets, smartwatches and more (fancy an action camera with a kitty harness? Xioami has you covered).

The biggest name devices to debut at the MWC were the Samsung S6 and Samsung S6 Edge, both offering a new, sleeker metal frame and larger screen area than the previous iterations. The most interesting feature has to be the secure fingerprint technology, which allows users to make payments online with infinite more security than ever before. The difference between the two? The Edge boasts a curved display that presents the highest quality images ever available in a mobile device. We here at Buynewmobile.co.uk have been hyped about this new handset for quite some time!

Anyone who swims, hikes or is active in sports in general will appreciate the new Sony Xperia M4 Aqua. Sony hasn’t yet released their much-anticipated Xperia Z4, but this new waterproof, rugged model is perfect for those who spend a lot of time outdoors in nature.

Aimed at young professionals, the Blackberry Leap was introduced, an Android phone that has access to a huge array of apps on the Amazon site. Microsoft is also staying in the game with their release of the Lumia 640 (formerly a Nokia phone until Microsoft purchased that firm last year). The Lumia 640 will run on Windows 10 by the end of this year.

New ultraslim models debuted from French firm Alcatel, whose OneTouch Idol 3 will orient itself to the way that the user is holding it, and from Acer, better known for laptops. Are they making a run to become a big player in the lower-end, affordable smartphone game with their Acer Liquid Jade Z? Also in on the cheaper end is LG, who launched four midrange phones, including the 8 GB Magna.

LG’s high-end offerings were not on display, but a spokesperson was on hand to speculate about the future of the G series, which is being reported to include a metal case, glass screen and in house designed processor.

Will LG’s new phone compete with the new Samsung or the MWC debuted HTC One M9? The M9 is also making waves as a strong competitor to the Samsung S6, as it features a similar two-toned aluminum casing and the latest Android software. Why would someone choose the HTC M9? A love of their own image! The M9 includes the finest front facing camera in the game, so selfies will look even better than ever (did they ever look good?).

Undoubtedly the strangest product to make its debut at MWC was the Runcible Smartphone. Touting itself as an ‘anti-smartphone’ and taking design influence from the pocket watch, the smooth wooden circle looks more like the result of a stylish wood turner than a piece of technology, but allows you to take calls, browse the web and send email. Is this hipster fashion gone mad, or a look into the future of handsets?
